MPPT vs PWM
MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking)
30-40% more efficient. Best for higher voltage arrays. Required when array voltage exceeds battery voltage significantly. More expensive but higher energy harvest.
PWM (Pulse Width Modulation)
Simpler, lower cost. Requires array voltage to match battery voltage (within 2V). Less efficient but adequate for small systems with matched voltages.
